Why do we use the metaphors “wise like an owl” and “give a hoot dont pollute”?
I had to answer owl questions please help me
Both of these quotes are making the point that owls are supposedly wise, intelligent birds. In the first quote, which is a simile, someone is being compared to an owl. In the second quote, “give a hoot” (hoot being the sound the owl makes) means to care enough about the environment to not pollute it.
