Paper, Paper Everywhere!
You’ve seen The Office, haven’t you? The show everyone talks about at the water cooler? The Office is an amazing television show, most people would agree. Something about the quirky personalities working (or not working as the case may be) their days away at a mid-size paper company makes for good humor and excellent television. If you stop to think about it, though, companies like Dunder-Mifflin actually exist. There are mid-size paper companies plying their paper goods to clients all throughout their areas. I doubt they have Dwight or Jim working for them, but I’m sure they still have their own kind of “special” employees to deal with. They have their own misfits who make life interesting and downright funny.
You wouldn’t think paper would be a complicated thing, but in reality it is. Just like most things in life, paper comes in different weights, sizes, materials, sheen, textures, and many other variables and options. There are heavy weight papers, cardstocks, parchments, and pearlescents. There is even such a thing as metallic paper, if you can believe it. Then you can get into envelopes. There are hundreds of options that can satisfy every desire. If you think about all the different things that paper is used for, it makes sense that there would be a variety of options available when it comes to selecting what you want. Think about business cards, wedding invitations, card stock, posters, greeting cards, scrap booking, stationary, programs, birthday invitations, and many more. All are made up on different types of paper – different colors, weights, and sizes. People have different tastes. They want their invitations or announcements to reflect as such. They want their end results to stand out just as much as they do! So next time you are looking to print something special, look to find the right kind of paper to make the right kind of impression.
Of course, you can find paper in your local craft store, but your options will be limited. There are so many kinds of paper that online stores will really be the best spot for you to find what you are really looking for. Plus, online stores generally will give you a better price when you buy larger quantities.
